Xfinity Series at Atlanta

The Xfinity series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway got off to a rough start. Pole winner Kyle Busch spun his tires on the initial start allowing Erik Jones to beat him to the Start/Finish line. Even though Busch admitted spinning his tires, NASCAR gave Jones a penalty, making him drive through pit road. Not to worry, Erik had a good car and is a top notch driver and ended up coming home 3rd.

Tire management was key for the day, and had Ray Black Jr. blow a right front tire, turning on the caution light helping many of those at the back of the field because a round of green lap pits were about to start.

The rest of the race found multiple people in and out of the top 10, but that all faded out of the news due to the Kyle and Kyle show. Kyle Busch and Kyle Larson stole the show with strong racing up front. Busch’s car was good on the short run allowing him to pull away from Larson. However Larson had a good car for the long run, which allowed him to pull back up to Busch, but never pass. Which is what happened in the last 20 laps of the race. Try as hard as he could Larson could not quite catch Bush, ending .466 seconds behind him, followed by Erik Jones, Paul Menard and Ty Dillon

.Elliot Sadler remains at the top of the series followed by Daniel Suarez and Ty Dillon.

Looks like Jeb Burton will be around a lot more. Announced during the race Jeb will be going from a partial ride to a full time Xfinity series ride for 2016.
